Really informative and enjoyable visit on steaming day. We drove but it would have been easy enough to get the shuttle bus (old route master) from Abbey Wood. The little steam train ride was fun too.… WendyCR2的完整评论

Hi, can one enjoy the visit without going up or down the spiral staircases?

yes. The spiral staircase does give you a good view of the steam engines but not going up them won't spoil your experience.

Yes when I visited two months ago that area can only be viewed thru a glass door as awaiting asbestos removal, still work visiting.

We drove there with friends; there are stations a few miles away - if you don't mind a little walk after; Woolwich Arsenal DLR is 3 miles distance
