This is a one way drive that takes you to some great geyser. We had the good fortune of seeing the cone geyser (White Dome I think.) go off. Excellent drive a little off the main road. 577SusanH的完整评论
There is not a lot of info on firehole spring. just curious, when I look in videos there is something big in the distance, is it a train? Also what else is around it to explore?

The firehole geyser check the schedule when it goes off. You actually sit alot closer to the geyser vs old faithful and there is bench seating

Sorry, Betty, I just got this, The boardwalk is very short, years ago there was a trail back from there for some distance but that is were the extremophiles were found for research and it is now closed. There are two boardwalks at the end, left and right, do both. Say 10 minutes each? Many buffalo in the spring. But before you go that far be sure to stop on the left as you drive in to see the bubbles rise from the Firehole pool, before you get to Great Fountain.
