I agree, it would be virtually impossible to go into the canyon by foot and come back out the same day. Twelve mile round trip in the dry, approach canyon just to get to the head of actual Havasu. Then several more miles to see any falls. Thirty years ago, they were considering a tram from the parking area on the hilltop down into Havasu, but I gather they never did that (good). I don't know of any regular helicopter service, and I'm not sure if a private, custom flight would be allowed to land in Havasu.

They require you to be of a certain age and be able to walk on uneven terrain. Plus there are alway added thoughts about flash floods and rockfalls. When you say hike the Havasupai can you be more specific since Havasupai is a region. Which trail are you planning on hiking? Anyway do be careful with a little kid in the canyons.
My family is looking to travel to Havasupai Falls in late May early June 2016. We were going to camp, but my sister does not want to carry the gear the whole hike. Is the lodge called Supai?
