Minor League Baseball Umpire Training Academy is a natural extension of Minor League Baseball and its ongoing efforts to enhance umpire training and development. The availability of the Jackie Robinson Training Complex as a training venue further enhances our ability to house, feed and instruct prospective umpires in a first-class environment. The MiLB Umpire Training Academy opened its doors in 2012 and offers a new standard in umpire education. We recognize that some people cannot commit to a five-week program. In an effort to streamline the education process and open our program to more students, we have created a curriculum that covers the same material offered by some schools in a shorter time frame. By adding night sessions and utilizing technology developed by MiLB Umpire Development and Major League Baseball, the student experience will be greatly enhanced.
