This was part of our history trip. My sister and I have been before and a lot has changed in the main area, before the fort itself. It is amazing how the fort is still standing after 200 years. Diane G的完整评论
I would like to take a bus (#94) to visit the Fort. According to what I can find on the internet, the bus stops about a thousand yards from the actual Fort (or maybe the visitor's center?) Is there any type of ground transportation from the bus stop to the Fort? Would Taxi's be available at the site? It will be hot in June and I'm a retiree who is not interested in dying of heat exhaustion at a national park! Any help will be appreciated! Thanks.

But it does stop just outside gate. Its a very big complex so maybe the CCC stops at same spot as #94 and not what you are asking about

You could either take a cab or the free bus called the Circulator. You would take the Banner Route on the Circulator to go from downtown to Ft. McHenry. It's 3 miles from the Inner Harbor to the Fort, so definitely walkable if you're up for it. It's not bad as long as the weather's nice. You'd see a few mediocre blocks with a lot of traffic, but you'd also see a lot of charming neighborhoods with different types of rowhouses. It's a good way to get a feel for the southern part of the city. (Oh, but which train are you taking? The Penn Line which drops you off 2 miles north of the harbor, or the Camden Line, which drops you downtown?)
