Each room of the museum has pamphlets at the entrance in many major languages. I only realized after leaving how useful they are. On the front of the paper is a description of the historical events addressed in that room. (For time’s sake, maybe easiest to read later) on the back is a detailed description of the objects on display, which is super helpful. There are also some English descriptions throughout the rooms - just not for each item. The official tour of the Panzer Hall is only in German, but as we struggled, we found a museum official who was happy to take us around in English. So informally, if you’re lucky and use some charm, you might be able to arrange something :)
This is the message as posted on the museum's website: "No more waiting! Our First World War exhibition opens absolutely renewed on the 29th of June." Can you please clarify exactly what this means for visitors to the museum? Thank you very much.

I think the message is referring to the Video/Virtual Tour of the First World War exhibition that will re-launch on the website on that day. I visited the museum last Thursday, 19/04/2018, and I can assure you that the whole WW1 section was open and accessible. It was one of the best First World War exhibitions I've visited - and I've visited quite a few. Definitely drop in if you're in Vienna.
