Back streets and streets away from the main "strip" can be quite dark. Easy enough to see, but the cars and bikes do tend to drive quite fast. We used the torch on my mobile just to stay visible. Everything is within walking distance, although there is a tourist land train that runs up and down.
What is the nightlife like? We’ve been going to Corfu for years and always stay in Sidari. I was fancying somewhere different and Agios Gordon’s looks beautiful but is it too quiet?

No any idea about night life. We went there for beach. But next time we consider stay there. Very nice beach. For night life think about Corfu old town. Better idea. Nice holiday.

I read the report and looked at the photos they had taken and I feel very sorry for this couple. I could probably have taken some of these photos myself, but the real problem for them was going out of season. I expect somethings like the beach get cleared at the start of the season. But to be honest Corfu and other Greek islands always have that look of unfinished buildings and incomplete projects to photograph. Also because of their economy and poor taxation gathering bins are not being emptied even in the summer. I did notice that the bins outside our hotel (Costas Golden Beach) were always emptied - think that might be to do with the hotel management? Hopefully it will get tidied up at the start of the season but it's Greece, it's sunny summers, it's food and Greek quirky culture.
