The 1-day tour sounds like just what I'm looking for with visits to Avebury, Woodhenge, Stonehenge, Silbury Hill, etc. Which tour operator provided the tour? Unfortunately, my trip to England will be in June close to the solstice, so I expect the sites will be quite crowded.

Anderson Tours do an excellent small sized tour taking in Silbury Hill, the West Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury and Stonehenge but not Woodhenge or Durrington Walls among others. They also have Tours which allow exclusive access inside the stones of Stonehenge. If you up for a bit of yomping (long distance walking) the Great Stones Way takes in many of the mysterious sites that litter Wiltshire and Salisbury Plain.
