A 43-year-old woman passed away after officials said she "experienced difficulty" surfacing from a dive in Midway. The incident happened Tuesday evening around 6:30 p.m at Homestead Crater.

In addition to the Grand Prismatic Spring, the Midway Geyser Basin features the Excelsior Geyser, a crater that dumps about 4,000 gallons of water a minute into the nearby Firehole River.
