The CT scan confirms bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy (arrows) and right paratracheal lymphadenopathy (not shown). No other site of disease involvement was noted. The lung parenchyma was normal.
CT may demonstrate unsuspected chest disease in these cases. Stage I: Hilar/mediastinal lymphadenopathy not associated with lung disease. Stage I disease is seen in 50% of patients with sarcoidosis.
