Phone users can now share files to and from Windows PCs via Phone Link. iPhone users need specific requirements to access file-sharing feature. The feature is now available to select Windows 11 and 10 users.

Microsoft has announced that it’s beginning to gradually roll out the ability to seamlessly share files between an iPhone and Windows 11 or Windows 10 PC when they are connected via Phone Link and the Link to Windows app.

Microsoft is rolling out a new Phone Link feature that lets you easily share files between your iPhone and Windows PC wirelessly. It works similarly to Apple's AirDrop, which only shares files between Apple devices. Now, you don't have to own a MacBook to wirelessly share files between your iPhone and PC.

Once you’re set-up, sharing a file from your iPhone to your PC is as simple as navigating to the file, tapping the share icon, and selecting “Link to Windows.” To send a file from your PC to your iPhone, select the file, right-click, and choose “Share” > “My Phone.”

Microsoft is setting out to bridge the gap between iPhone and Windows machines regarding file sharing, and the bridge will be built using Phone Link.
