In a bid to boost cultural awareness, students from regional and remote ares of New South Wales are getting a lesson in the basics of West African drumming and its significance.

Thiossane West African Dance Institute will showcase West African culture in music, dance and storytelling performances.

Musician, author and cultural educator Dave Kobrenski is bringing the vibrant sounds of West Africa back to North Conway with his fall series of West African drumming classes.
