China’s air force is set to officially debut its new stealth fighter jet, the J-35A, giving observers the first look at a highly anticipated asset that adds to the country’s fast growing military capabilities.

Colonel Niu Wenbo from the PLA Air Force's Equipment Department told reporters at a news conference in Beijing on Tuesday morning that the J-35A will take part in the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, set for Nov 12-17 in Zhuhai, Guangdong province.

The Su-57 was spotted at Taiyuan-Wusu International Airport in Shanxi Province, central China, on 3 November 2024. The aircraft appeared there in connection with the upcoming Airshow China 2024, where it will participate for the first time.
