2005年11月17日 · Sounds right; the disc must cut down through the brittle face of the tile or it will chip away. My current diamond disc wet cutter is only 40 quid cheapo (Tile-it) but it does really well & I haven’t had any problems on either ceramic or porcelain tiles; I even cut 45 degree mitres for external corners without chipping; personally I don’t like plastic corner trim.

2006年10月3日 · Cut the tile with glazed surface uppermost so the blade cuts downwards into the glaze & let the blade do the work, don’t rush it. If the cuts are to be seen, sometimes a tile file will help give a final polish to the edge. Some tiles cut better than others or it could be a cheap cutter or crap diamond blade as Tictic says.

2013年10月18日 · I have worked with porcelain tiles on numerous occasions. Score and snap cutters are far faster than my Rubi wet diamond blade cutter. If you were looking at 20mm thick tiles then score and snap would be a problem.
