2018年5月31日 · Mastered Super Saiyan 2 was drastically stronger than Super Saiyan 2, allowing Trunks to go from being roughly on par with Super Saiyan 2 Goku to around Super Saiyan 3 Goku in strength. As such, it'd need a ballpark increase of ~400x, not the same 100x of regular Ssj2. The same goes for the Perfected Super Saiyan Blue as well.

Furthermore, in the manga, Goku required SSJG to defeat SSJ2 trunks so he basically cheated. The anime was in a point where they didn't have toyotaro's further-along schema, just tori's notes.

SSJ3 makes him strong but burns him out, kind of like that inflated Super Saiyan transformation that makes you strong but slow. Super now shows us that Saiyans get different transformations when they advance, like Vegeta’s SSJ Blue Evolved, Trunks’s SSJ rage, Gohan’s Ultimate and Beast modes, etc.
