2014年3月7日 — In the black tomatoes Berkley Tie Die Pink is fairly tart. One of my favorite reds that falls in that category is Druzba and it has been very productive as well as tasty. I'm growing Atkinson for the first time in a very long time. It used to be one of the favored tomatoes around here before fusarium got so bad.

2021年2月13日 — There are several very good red tomatoes though they tend to have more robust flavor than pink varieties. For a large slicer, I enjoy Cuostralee, Neves Azorean Red, Nepal, and Akers West Virginia. For an early variety, Bloody Butcher is hard to beat.

My goal is enough canned purée to use on pizza throughout the year, and a stash of "sun" dried tomatoes. The new paste dwarfs are able to do this, so I will stay with them.

2009年4月21日 — i have had in the past a problem w/ my tomatoes rotting from the bottom about the time they get ripe. i have been told the stuff ya spray on em to prevent this is calcium, and that if ya will put some oyster shells (like for chickens) in the ground around your tomatoe plants, that it will prevent the rotting from the bottom.

2017年3月5日 — I grow tomatoes mainly for my Dad, He likes medium sized red tomatoes. I have tried many varieties. Some of his favorites are Red Brandywine, Big Beef, and Druzba. I'm always looking for new varieties that he might like, I'm open to both hybrid and OP varieties. Just looking for suggestions of ones that I have overlooked. Thanks Jim

So tonight I went out with my flashlight and there are cockroaches and even some crickets eating my tomatoes! I couldn't believe it you could even hear them munching.

2022年5月18日 — We still have tomato sauce from last years tomatoes. Last year I planted 19 tomato plants, (8 cherries and 6 medium and 5 large, mostly heirloom). This year I am doing 13 plants with only 4 cherry varieties and few new large varieties.
