2014年5月21日 · Quite frankly, the Cutco knives are overpriced and only perform so-so. 1)The first is every man/woman for themselves, and as long as the knife is sharp and clean, there is no problem. Obviously the cooks take great pride in their equipment and will buy good quality stuff. 2) The second option is rentals.

Some knives are good for some purposes, but not others. Cutco makes a decent steak knife, for instance -- if you like a serrated steak knife. Their chef's knife, in the greater scheme of things, truly sucks.

It works great, The handle grips well because of the wedge-lock design. This knife is better than these professional chef knives I've used in the past like one made by Slitzer.

I met many families who had Cutco for 30-50 years and loved the idea they could send their knives back to be replaced for practically nothing. There were quite a few families who needed to return their paring knife because the end broke off after being used as a screwdriver.

Is anyone familiar with who makes these knives, how do they compare and last, and will I be happy with them for my lifetime (estimated at approx. 40 more years).
