The problem is any old regular crab trap that you can buy from walmart for 5 dollars, will catch alot more crab, in alot less time, with way less effort. Plus you dont have to deal with reels jamming, fishing line getting tangled, or casting to the wrong spot.

2005年8月3日 · hey, I'm lookin for some good crabbing spots in the Hampton, New Hampshire area. I went with my grandfather (yes I'm 13 but I'm a diehard) yesterday for the first time in a year and we went to pierce island in Portsmouth, NH and right off the dock we were catching lobsters (6 keepers in total out of 8 lobsters) but we tossed them bas cuz we dont have a license.
Using a trotline to catch blue crabs
This gives the bait time to attract more crabs. If you're running a fairly long trotline, you can start again immediately. Some energetic crabbers like to set a line of crab traps nearby to check while they're waiting to run the trotline again. When you're ready, return to the upwind buoy and start the whole process over again!
