What are the most disturbing/disgusting/evil metal album covers?
Goregrind has all the immediately shocking covers, but there's 2 black metal albums which I think are more disturbing: Mortuary Drape - All The Witches Dance Mare - Spheres like Death Both albums contain photos of corpses the band exhumed themselves. In Mare's case it's a child's corpse on the inside artwork (so not technically a cover).

My top 5, but if I have to pick it is Sound Of Perservance because of mysterious story behind it where you can interpret it on million ways you want to + journey of music through the album really fits it.

Trevor Brown's artwork for Once Upon the Cross. Anatomically accurate and miles away from the usual cartoony gore. He never got death metal design jobs again even though that image was fairly controversial and still iconic. I like how even though you do see Jesus'penis, it's not especially small or big, just average.
