I’ve posted about this before. I think that Friday the 13th should get the Halloween reboot treatment. Disregard everything past part 2 and start from scratch. Ideally have it set during winter, take place in modern day and Jason hasn’t been seen since the early 80’s and he’s become a ghost story since his crimes were covered up.
