The thing is, Gargoyles might actually be slightly more GP per kill, I'm not 100% sure. However, you can kill a good amount more Abyssal Demons per hour than Gargoyles due to a few reasons (they're less spread out and only 1x1 so they're easier to massacre with AoEs), so the hourly profit is quite a bit higher.
