2023年10月15日 · If yes then use the VOM to verify voltage going through the switch to the relay. Next verify relay is changing state and that voltage is being supplied to the glow plugs. Timer should time out and shut relay off. Remove wire to glow plug and check resistance of each glow plug. They should be similar from one plug to the next.

2020年5月2日 · Turning the switch to "ignition" or "start" puts +12V at pin 86 (upper-right), so the glow plugs are triggered by sending ground to pin 85 (lower left). This is the job of the glow plug timer relay, and it does so under two circumstances: (a) for several seconds when pin 4,C is energized by "ignition", and (b) when pin 5,B is energized by "start."

However, I have experienced the multi-part damage chain before. And, with a total of about $60 (tax included) we opted for both.

2012年12月1日 · can any one tell me where the glow plug relay is located? I have a 97 f350 7.3 the wait to start light will not come on. I have unpluged the fuel heater and replaced fuse #22 under the hood. tried a different PCM and a different ICM. the truck still will not start. Any help or suggestions would be appericiated. 2010年8月3日 · Truck doesn't want to start very badly. Cranks for too long to start. I have tested the glow plug relay with the following results. Good juice to the hot side. Turn key on and the glow plug side of the relay only shows right around 10.5 volts. And it the relay is on for over a minute, which seems kinda long when it is 80 degrees outside.
