2010年9月9日 · After several silver nitrate applications for granulation tissue at the cuff I am told the area has healed. Well I am both happy and confused. Happy because i wasn't looking forward to this appointment as it was to involve an in office cautery of the area if the last silver nitrate treatment, which was very painful, didn't work.

The pre op process went well and the OR process went even better.My doctor and nurses were very informative, nurturing, and attentive. My pain was manageable with meds. So far this process has been great and I'm happy I decided to have the surgery.

At first, I was very upset about a vertical incision, but in the end, I am happy about it. #1 reason is that the recovery was much less painful than the horizontal incision I had years ago. #2 the incision is much smaller than a horizontal one would have been because the skin stretches open better in that area.
