2021年3月25日 · Yep it's pretty idiot proof. Unscrew the cable housing at the engine, pull the cable out, lube it, stick it back in, twist it a bit to seat in the tach, and screw the housing back on. You won't have to mess with the firewall. The cable sheath stays in place.

O-235-C1, Aerobatics & Overspeeds
2022年4月8日 · Hypothetically, knowing the Lycoming requirements for inspection after engine overspeed, are overspeeds less than 10% that damaging to an engine (O-235-C1) during aerobatics? I would think moving the throttle with all that stress would be more stressful during the maneuver. In my ECA, 120 MPH is equivalent to red line RPM.

2018年4月4日 · The new ones use the O-235-K2C (same as 152) for which parts are much more plentiful. With that said - it's not that parts are scarce, it's that they're more expensive. I just put new cylinders on my 7ECA (O-235-C1) and bought brand new Lycoming cylinder kits. You can rebuild your cylinders, or get rebuilt ones.

Looking at the 1979 version of the Citabria parts manual (1974 to 1979 7ECA/GCAA/GCBC/KCAB), the standard McCauley prop for the O-235-C1 engine is 1C90CLM7246 where 72 is the diameter and 46 is the pitch. A climb version isn't listed but a metal prop can be re-pitched.
