2024年11月14日 · I purchased a 14 " MacBook Pro M3 Pro 18 Gb, 512, (the base model M3 pro) from Best Buy for 1699 new and am still in the return window. I really like the device. I do wish the screen was a little bit bigger. Had the 15 inch MacBook Air that unfortunately was using a little bit too much RAM at 8 GB so, I needed to upgrade.

2024年7月14日 · In any case a "gently used" MacBook Pro from 2015/2016 is still a solid computer. I have a family member using a loaded 2016 model and it's more than quick enough for browsing and word processing while driving 2x4K monitors. I installed Mojave and Catalina on it and used it enough to say it was solid with those OS.

2023年11月13日 · 13" MacBook Air purchased new 2017. macOS 12 Monterey is the last major macOS version for a 2017 MacBook Air. macOS 13 Ventura requires a 2018 model. It will probably still get another year of security fixes, maybe 2, no way to be 100% sure. After that, the relevance will depend on your usage. By 2026 or so., it will be 9 years old, more or less.

However, I doubt it will charge a MacBook Pro: even though it has more or less same specs and a slightly bigger battery, for some reason Apple ships it with a 61w power adapter.
