Since I need to power a total of 5 drives. Luckily I have a modular Cooler Master PSU, which comes with some extra cables I don't need. One of those is this: It has one modular connector at the end and four SATA power plugs, which is exactly what I need. I know the modular connector isn't molex, because it has 5 pins instead of molex' 4 pins.

Not realizing these cables weren't standardized, and needing to power two more drives for my Unraid drive array, I tried to use a similar cable left over from another system. The 2.5" and 3.5" power and data SATA connectors are identical, BTW, although whilst 3.5" drives typically require 12v and 5v, most 2.5" drives only use the 5v supply. The SATA power connector also carries 3.3v, (orange) but AFAIK that is never used by any modern drive. Share.
How to convert SATA power port to Slimline power port
Use 2 5V wires and connect them to slimline (i.e. Pin :- 9, 10). Leave the third 5V wire. Use 2 GND wires and connect them to slimline (i.e. Pin :- 12, 13). Leave the other four GND wires. The SATA to Slimline converters available in the market only seem to use one wire for 5V & one wire for GND. They bridge the two 5V & GND at the Slimline side.
