Sphenoid Sinus Surgery: Anyone had their sinuses drained?
Oct 13, 2022 · Hi! I just had surgery on my sphenoid sinus (right side only). CT showed it almost completely blocked, surgeon thought it was a fungal ball. Surgery went well, it was blocked by polyps and inflammation. Recovery is going well, I’m mostly just really tired and still have a slight headache and ringing in my ears. I am breathing SO MUCH BETTER.

The procedure to open up the sinus is one that is performed under general anesthesia and there is also the risk of the surgeon accidentally disturbing something else in the brain close to the sinus. This surgery is optional, as I can continue as I am and hope that the sinus doesn't become inflamed or swollen and cause damage.

Nov 30, 2018 · Hi! I had the sinus surgery a year ago in September 2023, and I can honestly say I have not had any sinus issues since then…. No sinus headaches, no sinus infections, nothing. I still use the Neil Med sinus rinse a few nights a week just to clean my sinus passageway and keep it clear. The surgery was the best thing I could have done!

Nov 30, 2018 · The first few weeks after surgery was hard. Several follow up appointments to look into sinus cavities to make sure everything was healing properly. After that, things started getting better. I have not had one sinus infection or sinus headache since then and surgery was September 7,2023 (1year ago, approximately).

Brain Fog from Sinus infection and inflammation
Sep 6, 2018 · I am on Klonopin, Mirtazipine and Trazodone. I was on antibiotics Augmentin, Levoflaxin and Azithromycin before the surgery. All 3 gave me rashes. Also was on a long period of Predisone for 3- 4 weeks. Does juicing help clear Brain Fog. I was going to try that. Also was thinking of treating m6 brain fog with CBD oil. Not sure if that will work.
