2024年9月13日 · 90% of SoCal comps are at Oside Pier, S Jetty, Salt Creek or HB Pier. Even the OC middle and HS comps are in Oside. There are some weekends where kids are surfing a school heat at S Jetty and then sprinting to the pier for an NSSA heat. it’s out of hand. Id think the bigger gripe on the NS would just be the crushing crowds in general.

If you correct these imbalances and improve your aerobic fitness, you will be able to surf longer and remain injury free. That translates into surfing better. Now re the Indo Board, anything that sharpens balance isn’t going to hurt your surfing.

2023年6月16日 · Lucky to have a fairly decent sized S swell during our trip because you normally have to book these spots (camping + Island Packers ferry) a few months in advance. Spot was crumbly 4-5ft right hander that broke over a reef on a shelf with some kelp around. Only felt comfortable surfing it for those. Was still fairly sharky feeling.
