Posted September 28, 2017. I wouldn't recommend the 962s or 990s for a beginner. Any other DCI model, sure go for it. Depending on how old the woods are and how serious you're going to get you might want to splurge on a driver made within the last few years. Plenty of nice ones to choose from in the $50-100 price range.
