Going from EFI to Carb, need help with pressure regulator.
Mar 4, 2002 · I am currently dealing with a screwed up sniper efi system and need to re-install my carb but I'm having a hard time choosing the correct fuel pressure regulator. I am going to use the current efi fuel pump in the tanks Inc tank that is currently putting out 60+ psi and I need to bring it down to 5 - 10 psi for the carb.

Aug 13, 2024 · I have found that max power rich is around 12.2 and max lean 12.7 or so on most combos, some just like more fuel, could be just the cooling effect as well. Plugs are cheaper than pistons. My notes & charts I've been using shows stoich w/E10 at 14.08/1 so I compensate .62 when using the 9.2-10% Ethanol pump when tuning on the dyno/track.

May 17, 2005 · The smaller line from the pump is a return. Some pumps don't require one, so you can go ahead and cap it if you use that summit pump. And yes, your tank has to be vented one way or another. A vented gas cap will work fine. Thats what they used on the older cars before the smog laws put a stop to them.

Aug 13, 2024 · The Holley self learning system only learns to what you have the AFR set to. If you're running rich at idle, it's likely being told to run rich at idle. Here's the main fuel target I have at the moment. This also doesn't include the various fuel enrichment tables. It's pretty easy to pull some fuel out just by slightly tweaking your target AFR.

Feb 4, 2004 · Was the return fuel a method to eliminate vapor lock? Most of todays cars have done away with the fuel returning from a hot eng to the tank because it heats the fuel in the tank causing higher hydro carbons. IMHO if you have an LS3 or L48 it gets the return, if not then just a single 3/8 fuel line. just a guess , hope this helps mike.
