2024年6月8日 · "DayZ" truly shine as a survival game with - at the very least - vanilla minus setup - or better hardcore, with 30 npcs in every town (any more and animations/sounds getting glitched). It's only normal that majority gets attention even when there are also a lot of people into hardcore - but we have mods to cater that need.

On official and vanilla servers seeing zombies beyond 300m or right upon spawning is a good indication that there are other players in the area. On modded or private servers anything goes - the server owners can set those parameters to whatever they want. As for the bears, their roars can be heard from up to 140m away.

2018年9月26日 · Edit: oh.. nevermind I found it.. and I wasn't making this post to Add a ton of zombies to area's but to make them spawn in more than just the town you spawn closest to. I only had zombies in my initial spawn area and outside of that none would spawn, this was to fix that problem. but thank you for this, I wanted to add loads more.

They're deadly when close to them, but if you evade them they continue meandering around. @Gaz : perhaps you could spawn large hordes of zombies if their speed is set to always walk slow? And have the zombies wandering in and out of houses and rooms.

2012年8月9日 · In 1.7.2.3 zombies would spawn in if you were riding an open-top vehicles, such as the ATV. Last I checked, this has been corrected and even bicycles no longer spawn in zombies when you approach a building riding them. This could also indicate that zombies no longer attack you when riding these vehicles either, but it has yet to be confirmed.

2012年6月23日 · When you're playing Dayz and you're playing for the immersion, It all falls apart once you realize the Zombies are magically appearing out thin air with infinite numbers. I could identify the respawn, It was how they massed in groups instantly rather than slowly accumulate, as if the ran from the distance. I dunno, just needs to be sorted.

2014年5月11日 · This will revolutionize the zombies, imo. It not only changes their behavior but reduces their performance overhead. The engine only needs to check if the zombie is inside the navmesh and not to constantly raycast for geometry collision. This does not solve dynamic objects (other players, zombies, animals), but we can deal with that next .

2018年10月23日 · The way I increased the zombies on my server was to go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZServer\mpmissions\dayzOffline.chernarusplus\db Find Events. Open it with Notepad++.
