The Indigo, Sinnoh, and Kalos Elite Four are the only Elite Four of which all members have appeared in the animated series. All members of the Alola Elite Four have also appeared in the animated series.

There are currently 9 sets of Elite Four members and 1 Champion (3 in Scarlet and Violet), corresponding to the number of Generations that the main series games have been through (although Kanto and Johto share their respective Elite Four location, the Indigo Plateau, which, technically, is in the Kanto region).
