Armored Core 1 has a higher focus on exploration than the other games and is easier as such. It's also more difficult to go back to the older generations after you get used to the control scheme of the newer games. Armored Core 1 has a well-known bug where any Hidden Parts sold are permanently lost. While Armored Core 1 had a 1.1 version disk, it is unknown whether that specifically fixed this bug. Quad-Legged ACs with Human PLUS are also bugged in that they cannot use folding back weapons while in mid-air. This is presumably fixed in Project Phantasma.
