2022年4月25日 · Kids in band are normal and just so happen to be in band. Band kids are, well, stereotypical band kids. Every graduation, my friends who fall under the category of kids in band, are replaced by band kids. When my senior year comes next season, almost everyone from my time will be gone. I’ll be stuck with the band kids.

Why is the connotation behind being a “Band Kid” so bad?
There is definitely a difference. The “kids in band” scowl at the “band kids” doing “band kids” stuff and get mad that those are the weirdos setting the image for the whole group. I love the band kids and the kids in band, but I was always more of a kid in band being irritated at being lumped in with some really loud dinguses.
