Right now I've got it tuned to the local classic rock station but I may switch it to the local classical station and put it in my 5 month old son's nursery for listening when I'm rocking him.
Can anything be done about crappy car radio reception?
Jun 1, 2022 · Every HD Radio tuner automatically falls back to analog AM/FM when listening to the station's main signal. When listening to the HD2/HD3/etc. digital subchannels on FM, there is no analog equivalent, so when the digital signal drops out you get silence. In fact, some automakers ship their new vehicles with HD Radio and RDS disabled.

Any record, CD, streaming service etc, will sound significantly better. So, I cannot imagine a portable radio would make FM radio sound even better. I am not buying your premise.

We had this Zenith radio when I was a kid and it hooked me on all things radio. A Zenith a lot like yours. First time I heard the BBC i the UK I was floored lol! I love the first posters radio.

In the house, it’s only Internet radio available to me because FM reception has been garbage with any tuner/antenna I have tried. Fortunately, I’m not looking for much more than clear reception from a radio station, anyway.
