2016年6月20日 · For anyone that hasn't heard of it, GacoRoof is - by far - the best roof sealer. Developed in Seattle, it's 100% silicon! This comes highly recommended by many RV'ers. I used it on the roof seams of my 33 yr old Winnebago and it works great! Be warned - it's NOT cheap - can run between $60-80 for a gallon can but worth every penny.....

It will go on smooth look good for a short time fail in short order and leave a residue that will have to be removed before you can successfully apply a new sealant. A Polly based is far Superior and will last far longer.

Do any of you know what type of sealant was used originally to close the joint between bulbous fiberglass shell and the Ford E350 body. 2024年3月13日 · Hi Jack. Dicor self leveling is the best. Clean off that silicone stuff very well. Then use a quality butyl tape on the vents to begin with then slather on the dicor. As it levels out you may need to add more to get a good coverage. Don't use eternabond. It is perfect for seams but not for something that may need to be removed in the future.

The issue is that the mounting pads for the luggage rack aren't secured to the roof as well as they once were. This causes the pad to move around, but also when you step on the roof the aluminum sheathing separates from the mounting pad causing a gap.
