2003年7月28日 · A lot of what I cut is tag alder that grows in clumps with a lot of running trucks and a lot of wrist poplar. Wind up the blade and swing away, the blade just blows through anything up to around 2" diameter. Larger than 2" I come at it with the right side of the blade and let it chew through it, usually takes a second or two.

2009年7月31日 · The key to max efficiency is to keep the blade sharp and use the "saw set" that brings the kerf back out wider. Resetting the kerf keeps the blade from binding and slowing the cut. The Stihl blade stays sharp until you find a rock or old fence. I tried a four foot flail mower behind a compact tractor.

2007年8月21日 · Just use an old chain which is about on it's last go around.You can spend a kings ransom on a carbide chain but most people that have used them will say it is a waste of money. Every carbide chain I have ever used, except Bullet, was almost a waste of money. It is the only one I have ever used that was worth the money and more.

2006年10月27日 · The blade is slow to stop...was not there but heard about a cutter turning and hitting the officer in the pants leg with the rotating blade. In wood floors and roofs the cut off saw is slower than the carbide tipped chainsaw...fooled me, but that was the result.

2022年2月25日 · They are carbide and I have a lot of tall grass mixed in with thick (1-3") autumn olive and honeysuckle. I use a Stihl FS110 with bicycle handles. I am just replacing the first blade after many hours of use through the winter season clearing 1000's of square feet of very overgrown areas. Think berry thorns stems, faux grape vines etc.

2011年12月7日 · I have a Husqvarna 345FR. The saw blade that came with the unit was the Scarlet. After a few sharpenings the blade is done. I purchased some Maxi blades and they certainly cut better. It was recommended that a round file be used to sharpen. After a few sharpenings they are toast as well. The pic shows the two cutters.

2008年2月3日 · circle saw blade on a brush cutter I have been useing a 9" carbide blade on my little echo straight shaft trimmer for the last three years. great little machine for small honey suckle, buck thorn etc. up tp 2" diameter. You do need a brush kit from your dealer, which is a handle bolted on to the shaft, and a harness so you dont cut your leg off.

2010年5月14日 · We ended up making 25-30 cuts through roots, in the sand, and cutting through rocks as well. Then we had to rip the barrel up. The carbide chain was tedious here, so we used it to cut through all the rock/sand encrusted outer layers of the barrel then switched to another saw with a normal chain. It saved a lot of chains and time that way.
