Here is a list of the individual pieces of wire that you'll need to build your crabpot. Two pieces, each 20 meshes in length, to be used for the main body of the crabpot. One piece, 11 meshes in length, to be used for the parlor. Four pieces, each 2 meshes in length, to be used for the entrance funnels.

My main purpose with using vinyl is not having to use zinc 1-2 bars per pot. Another $1.70 each per season plus I feel I caught more crabs in vinyl pots vs. galvonized.

Mar 14, 2013 · Run the line though one hole across the float and though the other hole, knot the end of the of the line and pull it tight to the pipe. Put a knot or 1/2 hitch at the pipe on the long end of the line going to the pot.

Step 3.1. Figure 1a. Figure 1b. Figure 1c. Cut a piece of wire 2 meshes long (Figure 1a.) Trim wire so that there are 12 hexagons along the bottom, 10 hexagons along the top. Be sure to leave the three "pigtails" attached to the right-hand side. See Figures 1b and 1c. Discard scraps.

May 28, 2009 · Non-commercial Crab pot license, and "agents" pulling pots. Ok, here is the official answer from marine code enforcement. You CAN NOT tend anyone elses pots for any reason. No special permissions will be given. When asked about the "agent" wording, they said that it pertained to commercial crabbing.

Feb 28, 2020 · What you should do is make a power washer wand with 3-4 nozzles stacked vertically, aimed off the side of the boat. Then build a rotating stand for the pot to set on. Pull the pot, shake it, slide it down the washboard in front of the nozzles, spin it and back over.
