A secondary feeding is nearly always needed once the roots become established at roughly week 4. Whether its chemical or organic, the plants need to be fed.

We try for at least 4-6" of broken native soil and then a layer of 3-4" of new topsoil over that before seeding. You may get some grass without topsoil on the rocky native soil, but at what quality/ quantity and longevity is what remains to be seen. Logged.

2008年4月13日 · The basic answer is that you need 4" at least of good soil before hydroseeding or patchmastering.But you also mention erosian. That could mean simply using an erosian control product such as futerra after seeding to hold the seed in place untill it can grow or going further and stopping the cause of the erosian.
