Sep 29, 2017 · The aftermarket parts suppliers list an in fuel tank fuel pump for the 2005 Duramax and my 2009 Duramax. The catch is it cost just over $400. I then talked to the local Starter / Alternator repair shop owner and he verified that he knows of one 3500 Duramax that came from the factory with a fuel pump in the tank. Phil P.

I bought a used 2018 2500HD Duramax L5P and a week after owning got a reduced engine power warning and got it scanned and received the P0191 code and took it back to the dealership to address. Got some grief but they supposedly replaced the LH Fuel Rail & Pressure Sensor after 3 days in the shop.

Perhaps 1 or 1-1/2 strokes 'till firm. 4-5+, it's leaking off prime and you'll need several more turns to fire off...or not at all. Not typical for a 1-year old new filter head to be leaking again.

Install special tool J44638 to check vacuum restriction on fuel supply to the high pressure pump. Maximum restriction at WOT (wide open throttle) is 5 inches HG in park. 2) When driving under hard acceleration maximum would be 7-8 inches Hg.
