As far as the fitting of the gaskets fitting the same as the 8n,2n,9n, I believe they installed beefier carburetors on the jubilee. The Marvel kit, they have listed to fit our jubilee, also fits 600, up through the 740 models, with no mention of any of the 8n, 2n, or 9n series ...

Easy to test , put the tractor under a load until it starts to loose power and open the fuel cap. If there seem to be a vaccum holding the cap and the tractor starts to run better then the vent is pluged.

The new engine ran well this Summer, although occasionally I would have to adjust the power adjustment screw to add more fuel when a heavy load was on the engine.

Aug 17, 2013 · Remove the fuel supply to make sure the gas flowed freely. Remove the back spark plug to check for spark. clear and blue. Disassemble and clean the Marvel carburetor. Spray some starting fluid in the air intake. Remove the distributor, check the point gap, clean the contact surfaces.
