4490 posts · Joined 2015. #6 ·Jun 3, 2017. I have three 416 uppers; 10.4", 14.5" and 20". I have a fourth but it's a bastardized version, a US made upper with a real 10.4" 416 barrel. The first three all sit atop MR556 lowers. I bought them all because I wanted all 3 lenghts of the 416.

One important issue when using a non-HK lower with the HK416 upper is to insure that the hammer you've got is tall enough to activate the firing pin safety. A lot of hammers commonly in use with AR15s will not be tall enough. Sparkplugs are irrelevant.

2020年9月8日 · A real-deal HK416 lower from Hurricane Butterfly. That'll cost you $7k or so at the moment. If having $10-11k into a gun to have it be all-HK is worth it to you, then go right ahead. All other options are merely clones. Its up to you to decide how close of a copy you want it to be, and how much you want to spend.

The thing to keep in mind with any AR15/M16 lower to which you attach an HK416 upper is that you MUST have a hammer that has the proper profile to hit the firing pin safety. The M16 hammer should already be able to do this. Some AR15 hammers have a profile which is not "tall" enough to do this.

2014年10月1日 · 2. Vltor A5 stock (works great on 10" Hk upper w/ suppressor) traditionally uses a rifle spring, not carbine, which would be the Springco green spring. If the HK416 Slim line stock has a mil-spec diameter, it will work. I would use the Vltor A5 tube, with a rifle length spring (springco green)and the A5 buffer.
