Sep 18, 2022 · This is most likely a Yacare Caiman but regardless of the species, it seems to be 7 feet long which means it weighs around 40-50kg while this Jaguar should weigh much more than that. Big cats are known for killing prey much heavier than themselves and even dragging away carcasses much heavier than themselves.

A good way to tell them a part is the head shape, little crest on the eyes, lack of white markings on Yacare, especially the Flanks, and lack of spinal ridge.
