2018年11月24日 · I just tested Nero 5 on my Waterbox 79.3 (24”x24”x20”) mixed reef tank with Acroporas on ‘top shelf’. It’s overpowered for a tank this size even when it’s dialled down to 20%. In short, 2 x Nero 3s are probably your best bet.

2013年11月17日 · The mp40's yo have now have a good 24" reach, but beyond that range they are pretty weak. Running them full-bore (and clearing out your sand bed they way you did) is kinda the only way around this. Consider switching to a pump that's oriented to flowing a long tank – you'll be able to keep more of that flow up off the sand.

2018年5月1日 · In my 150 I ran 2 mp40s at around 3/4 power ln reef mode but opposite timings and worked great for my scape. As for noise, ive noticed a few people didnt set the outside rubber foot to the proper glass thickness which in turn creates a stronger than needed magnetic pull on the wet side of the pump making a funny noise.

2023年1月6日 · I run it 40% lagoon, but my tank is 120 gal. You basically need to observe your flow and decide visually if it is right, watching corals and fish. My tank is a standard 120 with 2x MP40 and a gyre. I can’t remember I may have even changed it to 40% lagoon from midnight to 6am. Either 40% or 50%.

Fit and function are excellent, even with the extensive use of steel stampings to lower cost and speed production. Parts and tube guns just are not the same.
