I've drug it around so much that I've worn the end stitching away and add a few wear holes trying to make it just a little bit longer while I slept, being 6'3" and a single size. I retired it to a wall a few months back, but now I need a replacement.

2014年1月12日 · We have tested our wool blankets using different care methods. When washed, the blankets experienced significant shrinkage, even with the mildest care methods. With a gentle cold wash and dry flat care method, blankets lost 3"-6" in length after one washing. And the shrinkage could increase with successive launderings.

2024年10月26日 · For the most part, wool blankets are one of those, "you get what you pay for". I have used Ektos blankets, they're not the best, and they're not the worst. They don't compare to a Pendleton, but are significantly cheaper. I'll use Pendleton wool blankets down into the low 50's, high 40's, but I won't use the Ektos blankets below the 60's.

2023年12月19日 · The Pendleton feels good against the skin and is good down to the 40's (based on experience). I wouldn't use the Ektos at home, but no problems using the Pendleton laying on the couch. I'm no expert on these blankets, just have a bit of experience and have bought quite a few wool blankets, and definitely get what you pay for.

A proper 4 Point sized blanket from the 1920s can weigh anywhere from 6 to almost 7lbs. These antiques are the best and warmest wool blankets.

2022年3月27日 · The use case will be mostly camping. But also want it to be nice enough to have on the couch. the Arcturus seems to have really good reviews but it’s also only 80% wool with 20% synthetics. Whereas the Ektos is 100% wool but a bit heavier.
