Mar 19, 2024 · I’m about 12 hours into my induction. I was at 1cm when I came in and they gave me 3 rounds of cytotec. I am now 3-4 cm dilated and 70% effaced. They are about to start me on Pitocin. Last time I was induced they gave me Pitocin and my water broke pretty quickly then I got the epidural before the bad contractions started.

Mar 22, 2022 · Get the epidural right away. I was induced by water breaking and pitocin. Contractions started within a few minutes. I didnt ask for the epidural until I was 7cm cause I had planned no pain medicine initially. Definitely a mistake lol Those pitocin contractions are no joke.

Second time at 39 weeks 2 cm dilated 70% effaced & water bulging but nothing so on her due date 40 weeks received pitocin at 10:10 & broke water at 12:35 at 4:00 pm was 5 cm dilated but at 5:33 she was born 8lbs 9 0zs.

Mar 10, 2021 · I started Pitocin at 4:30 PM on 2/13, water was broken about 12 PM on 2/14. I was at a 5 at about 7 PM and I started pushing at 11:41 PM on 2/14 and he was born at 11:59 PM. BTW: I was 1.5 cm dilated and 80% effaced when I went in for induction.
Prostaglandin instead of pitocin for induction?
Jun 8, 2015 · My mom had all of her babies 1-2 weeks after her due dates. Has anyone used the prostaglandin method for induction? Of course I wouldn't consider this unless I'm a week or more past due. I really want a natural, unmedicated birth. The pitocin was awful and made contractions stronger, so I had to get the epidural with my first baby.

I had the epidural around 8cm and I am so glad I did. With my second my water broke at 7 am but was not having contractions - I was started on Pitocin around 11. The contractions started within 15 min.

I was legit just stalled at 4cm after being on pitocin for over 12hrs. they finally broke my water and I started dilating slowly after. but are there any options or ways to decline the pitocin
