Those garbage can steel frame bikes have components that are about the same quality as a 99 cent umbrella, once they break you're bike won't be rideable anymore. Plus they look like circus clown garbage. Go for a nicer steed.

The bikes are generally so cheap they're hard to fix, poor quality, and aren't worth the trouble. Do yourself a favor and go to a real bike shop. You'll be supporting a small business person and you'll get the right bike for your needs.

The Gateway reminds me of the Schwinn Willy that one can find at a local bike shop. My favorite LBS has a Willy in stock, and the components on the Willy appear to be similar to the Gateway.
