Both the hens and gobblers will make this sounds and it is a sound no turkey hunter wants to hear during the hunt as it usually means you have been spotted and the warning is going out to every other turkey within hearing range. The toms will drum, spit, gobble and putt loudly when alarmed.

I just noticed yesterday, but I can't say for sure how long it's been going on, because I've been gone for over a week. My neighbor gave me some Sulmet, but I'm hesitating because I don't know what's wrong with her.

2008年5月3日 · Here are some pics of that poor turkey. New development-- something pecked out one of his eyes. I don't even know how it happened-he's in isolation. I feel so bad. I would like to save the other eye if possible. I aplogize for the one picture-it's so sad, but this way you can see his head. Rest assured I did clean him up. I just feel really bad.

Well noticed one jake has he was strutting yesterday making a sneezing sound every other minute or so. It sounds like "PPPPPFFFFTTT". I have searched the web, and I think this may be just something the that the males do to "show off".
