2016年4月22日 · The change is that the line seperating the V and the W in the logo wasn't there before. It was a continuous design with no breaks. This one actually pisses me off a little bit, because it took me years to see that the Volkswagen logo was supposed to be a V over a W. When I finally figured it out, I felt kinda dumb for not noticing for so long.

2021年3月28日 · For 27 years the vw logo had the split, then it dissapeard overnight and saw the jumble of stripes you describe. Looked like crosses abd triangles. Then about two weeks later it changed back (gap back) and has been like that ever since.

2016年10月28日 · No big deal seemingly. However, VW only had the branding rights registered for the logo WITH the gap. To make things even more confusing, this was not the original design. The designer of the logo, an Austrian named Nikolai Borg, created it without the gap. Here are some pics of the guy and the original, gapless logo design:
