The psoas is commonly refereed to as the “hip flexor” but that’s a terrible name! There are several muscles that “flex” the hip. And the psoas is just one of them. Todays focus, the Rectus Femoris, is part of the quadriceps. Or the front of your thigh. In a hip flexor stretch lunging position, all you have to do is lift the back leg and BAM, huge stretch there.
